I Hate Art School was born out of despair, desperation and pure, sheer hatred for the institutionalization of art as a subject. I swore I would never go back to art school after my Illustration Certificate, but I made the mistake of doing so for my Master's in Illustration. I'm very tired of teachers trying to pass theoretically basic concepts as some kind of mind-blowing knowledge. I'm very tired of teachers preaching the exact same style of drawing for its simplicity while looking down on other, different or more complicated styles. I hate art school.
