A third of the population was wiped out within a week, another third fell ill, and the final third had no reaction. The final third worked around the clock, caring for the sick in specially marked quarantine zones. As the care continued, the sick began to stabilise, and started having children. As the children aged, the offspring of the ill were discovered to have special abilities. This new subspecies of humans were named “Supers” and they came with their fair share of problems. In 2114 the first and only superhuman war broke out. After the war, the supers and humans learnt to intergrate peacefully, on half the continents still remaining on the world, and after a while, the supers became icons, beacons of hope. Those who stood up for public safety became celebrities, and in 2296, almost 170 years later, the heroes were legitimised by Clayton “Rock Solid” Matthews, with the formation of the Superhuman Taskforce. At the end of the year 2299, the Superhuman taskforce, aided by Waskiko, an alien demigod on the side of Earth, has become a force to be reckoned with.
