Wellington is sent to the border world of Gallis II as a replacement XO for the 15th Heavy Mechanical Tactics Unit, an infamous vassal combat unit. He won't have an easy transition into the unit. Alexander will have to deal with UTD Battle Mechs, learn that tanks aren't one size fits all, and handle a pair of twins with opposite personalities. But will the battles Alexander face end with one side being the loser or will he face something far worse that will take a toll on both sides.
